If Skill Bill passes eventually, won't EB2 be beneficial over EB3.
I used my EB2 (jan 2006) over EB3 (March 2005)
SKIL doesnt look at EB2 or EB3, only whether you have a US graduate degree in STEM.

Thats a pretty tough spot to be in. You can try finding a H1B sponsor for yourself and transfer? How about looking for a H1B sponsor for your wife? I believe the H1B quota did not fill up this time.

Visit visa is only for the max. 6 months. No guarenty they will give that. I know many people got 1-3 months only. My mother used to come here for 6 months and go back to India for 1 months and again come back and stay 6 months. The 3rd time at the JFK, they told her this is your last entry in visit visa and give her 3 months. They told her if you come next time, she will send back as blacklisted. Because she abused the visit visa and stayed most of the time here in US for the couple of years. My sister is a US citizen by then and she filed AOS and I-130 for her and my mother got her GC in 6 months. My friend bring his father here and his father was hospitalized due to a heart attack. He got a bill for 90K. Now he is paying it by installments, because be sponser him. He is liable to pay it. He hired a lawyer, but finally he agreed to pay. So don't bring any one here without taking medical insurance. Parents are not come into H4 catagory.
From IRS point of view, parents are considered dependents if you are taking care of them at home. You could bring them on visitor VISA mentioning that they will be here for medical treatment. You may have to show proof of Insurance etc ... in the affidavit of support. Medical exprenses are costly here. That is the only problem.

Guys..i have noticed that so many other members has already been complained about the getting Red dots for no reason...i got the red for this post for just a spell mistake. Hi, I have 3 yrs exp. as a software engineer. I have a master's degree . In order to be qualified for EB2, which is better to be put on the job ad, BS+5 or MS+2? Based on my understanding:
BS+5: BS is believed to be qualified enough for the software engineer position. But BS+5 may not be qualified for EB2?
MS+2: Master degree is good for EB2, but wondering if the DoL thinks it is necessary for a SE position.
Could you please give me advice on this? I really appreciate that.

Per the law no matter what:- You need to prove that you have a job and that should be same/similar job that of your Labor. I cant advise you to go with option 3 as it's at your will. I am not sure about option 2 if USCIS will really accept because you are supposed to have a job in hand. Green Card is filed based on Future Employment but it doesn't mean that you can be without job until you get your Green Card.
I dont have anything against you but just trying to tell what is what. I know it is not easy as said but try to get things solved as quickly as possible. Wish you Good Luck!

Notarizing means taking an oath in front of a notary. Also be aware that notary is done for documents not in the public domain. Your freind better be sure of what he is vouching for. Otherwise he will get into trouble.
Why would not your ex-employer sign your experience letter? HR department of every company once in a while receive requests like this from ex-employees and they should not have a problem with it.

My experience was very pleasant! They did not say it in so many words, but it was clear that they appreciated my call. I urge all of you to call Senator Cornyn. This is a really good idea, unless the core thinks otherwise (I am really not sure what the core thinks about this). Their staff has not received too many calls from supporters like us is what I could make out (but I could be wrong).
And by the way, the call was made from just outside my office on a cell phone --- not from the bath tub this time :)

Don't we have a popular Beedi( a type of cigarette ) in India with the image of Lord Ganesh on its cover . It is very very popular beedi brand in Karnataka . Is this allowed , I never saw any backlash against this in India itself . Strange that this kind of backlash happens more in the west than India.

Hi,
I am on H1B visa. My parents due to a medical condition cannot take care of themselves. They need someone to be present with them 24 hrs a day. Can I get them on H4 visa as dependent? I would like to keep them for 2-3 years in US and take care of them. Please let me know my options.

Parents are not considered dependents . So i am not sure they can come on H4 visa. I can understand the situation ( being the only son of my parents with deteriorating health ). Once in a while i think of getting rid of this stay in USA and heading back home and caring for the ones who raised me to adult hood.
There may be more avenues , let more knowledgeable people in this forum comment.
